Senior Driving – “When is time to give up the keys?” Part 2 of 2

December 1st, 2008

When you need to decide it’s time for an elder to give up the keys, you need to stick to the facts. Changes in driving ability are not directly related to age. Just because mom or dad is 63 or 87 does not mean they’re a safe driver anymore. We’re really talking about their ability to operate a motor vehicle from point a to point b safely.

Eldersource in association with Bold City Media is proud to sponsor this episode of The Informed Eldercare Podcast. In part 2 on senior driving Fran Carlin-Rogers helps us with understanding the issues by talking with our seniors; planning for alternative transportation; and helping our seniors transition from where they want to go and where they need to go.
