In today’s tough economy many who are looking to save money on home improvements or repair, often fall prey to home fraud. When someone looks for a contractor to provide these services an unlicensed contractor in question may offer them at a fraction of the cost. While the thought of saving money is alluring, the costs in the long run can add up to delayed, unfinished or substandard work. If the contractor is not licensed or insured the homeowner may be liable for any damage or injury to the contractor.
